Don't be silenced!

So, is Steve Bannon the man you want running the country?

Seems like that basically is what is happening.
He's been named to the National Security Council while, at the same time, the director of National Intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were demoted. They can attend when invited.
Steve Bannon, meanwhile, will always be there.
In case you're not familiar with this man, he was the executive director of Breitbart.com, the white nationalist, alt-right "news" outlet.
I use the term "news" extremely loosely.
Here's the handsome guy who is constantly whispering in Trump's ear. And Trump himself is someone totally not ready for borough council, much less the presidency of the United States. Trump lives in a world of his own making, disregarding reality at all costs.  I guess it's easy when you're a narcissist. 

He doesn't seem to realize that he's no longer on "The Apprentice." Now HE is the employee and we are the employer. Yes, you can be "fired," Trump, through something called impeachment. So far you have managed to to drop to the lowest approval rating the most quickly in the world of presidents, so that won't look too good on your 90-day employment review

If you're not worried about Bannon running the country, you should be.
Reporter Ronald Radosh of the Daily Beast had a long talk with him just a few years ago about his politics.
"I'm a Leninist," Bannon told him. "Lenin wanted to destroy the state and that's my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down and destroy all of today's establishment."
With everything that has been occurring in Trump's very short reign, I'd say Bannon is well on his way to getting what he wants. He has a dope in the White House who is surrounded by those who, for some reason, will defend him to the end. 

I wonder how they find it so easy to lie so blatantly to the pubic. I wonder how they come up with those "alternative facts." I wonder why they sold their souls and how they can sleep at night.

Trump and company degrade everyone they can. They ignore the protests around them. They call those in the media the scum of the earth. They say the media is the enemy and anyone in that profession should not question Trump -- they should just shut up.

They see no reason to uphold the First Amendment -- or the Constitution, for that matter.

Perhaps you're OK with all of this. Perhaps you aren't paying attention.
But if you care, don't be silent. Call your senators and representatives. Write them. Email them. Press them to hold actual town hall meetings.

Donate to the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Join the League of Women Voters (yes, men can join). Take part in a protest.

It's hard. Sometimes you feel like you're screaming into the void.
