Hersheypark happy!

Sunday was a perfect day to be outside -- and, in this case, to be at Hersheypark!

Thanks go the great generosity of my friend Lynn, we were given free passes to the park this summer, and Sunday proved a wonderful day to take advantage of the wonder of this park.

I hadn't been in the park for probably about 20 years. Scary thought that it had been that long. The park has grown and changed plenty since then, but it was good to see that some of the staples had survived, including the Comet roller coaster, the Kissing Tower, the Coal Cracker  and the Trailblazer.

 Still love the whip!

The Kissing Tower is cool, literally, and the views are spectacular.

The Dry Gulch Railroad is tame, but still fun … and features a not-so-scary snake.

Make a wish at the fountain...

The carousel is still my big favorite...

Yep, it was a great day. The big wooden coasters, the calm of the monorail, plenty of walking and just plain fun. Thanks for the wonderful day, Lynn.
