Don't most events in our lives happen by chance? I hope to share with you the chance observations and experiences of my travels. And I offer a chance for you to comment as well. Add to that my fond affection for my late cat, Chance, who was afflicted with feline leukemia and died of cancer, and you will see why "chance" has a special meaning in my life. By chance, the adventure continues and can be shared...
Time to celebrate! It's the nation's birthday and a great day to salute our freedoms and all those through history who have made this possible. It's also a wonderful time for parades (congratulations, Upper Salford, on your 25th annual Red, White and Blue Parade), picnics and fireworks. Hope everyone has an awesome Fourth!
Reporter staffer Dan Sokil took this great video at the Mann Music Center Wednesday night and it shows how easy it is to join The Reporter in "covering" the Fourth of July. You'll see on our Twitter feed (@lansreporter) and our Facebook page that we want to feature your photos and videos of the Fourth. We want to show how you, our audience, enjoys the Fourth -- whether you're heading out to a festival, taking in fireworks or traveling.
Tweet #LansFourth to tell us where you are this weekend and include photos and video, if possible. We'll use the best tweets in a story July 4th.
Don't miss our rundown of Fourth events and a great map, too!
