I was lucky enough to get to the 102nd Pennsylvania State Farm Show on Wednesday.
I hope that many of you will also get there -- as it runs through Saturday in Harrisburg.
There are plenty of animals on display, as well as myriad aspects of agriculture, family living and other facets of this important state industry and way of life.
And of course there is the food! Potato doughnuts, honey ice cream, magnificent milk shakes -- the list goes on and on. Just be sure to buy your food in the food court, where state-produced yummies are offered.
Here are a few photos from our day at the Farm Show. Try to go -- and if you can't get there, don't miss the great coverage on PCN TV. You'll miss out on the food and that first-hand experience, but they do a great job of covering so much of this great show.

Many, many years ago, I was a 4-H member.
Not as many years ago, my daughter was a 4-H member.
So every year when August rolls around, we make sure to head out to the Montgomery County 4-H Fair on Route 113 in Skippack.
Here are just a few photos from opening night.
As you look at these, remember that the fair continues Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can check out all the various projects completed by 4-H members, take in cattle shows, see the rabbits and guinea pigs, eat a part of the world's largest sausage patty and enjoy live music on Friday evening by the Daisy Jug Band.
Maybe you'll even be inspired to have your children join a club, or check out ways in which you can help the 4-H program.

It's January, so that means it is Pennsylvania Farm Show time! And I love it!
So we headed out to Harrisburg on Saturday to take in the 99th annual event -- as did about a million other people. But it was absolutely worth the trip.
The first stop was the food court, which features all Pennsylvania-made goodies. And even though it wasn't even 8 a.m. yet, I had to have some chocolate-honey ice cream, with raspberry honey drizzled on top.
Delicious!!
Of course the Farm Show is a lot more than food, so here are a few photos of what we saw. I certainly couldn't include everything -- take that as a nudge to head out there this week.
