Don't most events in our lives happen by chance? I hope to share with you the chance observations and experiences of my travels. And I offer a chance for you to comment as well. Add to that my fond affection for my late cat, Chance, who was afflicted with feline leukemia and died of cancer, and you will see why "chance" has a special meaning in my life. By chance, the adventure continues and can be shared...

It's hotter than...
Back when I was in high school, LONG before the days of air-conditioned schools (or very much of anything air-conditioned, for that matter), I had a teacher who would complain about the temperature in his classroom by roaring, "It's hotter than HADES in here!"

Red, White and Blue Parade!!
In case you didn't make it to the Upper Salford Red, White and Blue Parade on July 4th -- the 25th annual gala event!! -- here are a few photos to show you what you missed.
It was a great parade on a perfect day for such an event.
There were some terrific classic cars and trucks...
Of course there were kids on bikes, all decked out in red, white and blue...
And some floats...
Yep, no place like home!! |
And there were some wonderful restored tractors...
And of course the fire trucks, including a plea to help the fallen Arizona firefighters...
And the very cool grand finale!!!
HAPPY FOURTH!!
Time to celebrate!
It's the nation's birthday and a great day to salute our freedoms and all those through history who have made this possible.
It's also a wonderful time for parades (congratulations, Upper Salford, on your 25th annual Red, White and Blue Parade), picnics and fireworks.
Hope everyone has an awesome Fourth!
