Neither rain….

Nope, no stopping the Red, White and Blue Parade in Upper Salford. A little bit of rain won't stop us from celebrating!!

Happy Fourth of July

Last year, the weather on the Fourth of July was hot and sunny. This year, well, not so much.

But just in case the rain prevents you from heading out to festivities this morning, here are a few shots from the 2013 Red, White and  Blue parade in Upper Salford. It's always a great, small-town celebration!

Whatever you do today, take some time to remember those who have served our country, present and past.

Go ahead, eat too much, take in some patriotic fun and ooh and ahhh  as fireworks light up the sky.
Have a wonderful Fourth!

Fashionable Fourth??

Check out this dress, featured in a store window in Williamsport.
Looking for something different to wear to that Fourth of July celebration?
This might be it!!

And pair that dress with these sparkled boots!

Me, I'd rather watch the Red, White and Blue Parade in Upper Salford. Here's a favorite from last year!

Short, sweet vacation

Because of myriad events in my life this year, an extended far-away vacation was not possible. But a few days away can be just as sweet, don't you think? And so a jaunt to Williamsport was planned, and a pleasant journey it was! And who could resist a "Pottsville Creme" doughnut as we made the trek north:

Almost there!

Our goal -- the historic Peter Herdic Inn, a beautiful restored mansion on Millionaires Row...

A few glimpses of our wonderful inn…

Cool papier-mache carrot created by our artist/innkeeper...

A ghost next door? No, just some covered work project…

A delightful stop at the Bullfrog Brewery...

 Dinner out...

Wonderful mural in town on several buildings...

My man… Ringo!

 Don't miss Alabaster coffeeshop!

Remember when we still wrote letters??

Anyone remember Grit? Back when it was a newspaper? My parents loved getting it!

Some sites along Millionaires Row...

Sad to say, this business is no longer open...

A great trip -- saw lots more than this, but wish we had had more time!!
